Composition
Each gram of Kimia Linco 40® contains 454 mg of lincomycin hydrochloride, equivalent to 400 mg of active lincomycin.
Indications
Lincomycin 40% is used for the treatment of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens.
It is also used for the control of bacterial infections in honey bees, such as American foulbrood (Paenibacillus larvae).
Dosage and Administration
Poultry
For the treatment of necrotic enteritis:
75 g per 1,000 liters of drinking water (equivalent to 30 mg of lincomycin per liter of water) for up to 7 days.
Honey Bees
For each hive, mix 100 mg of lincomycin (equivalent to 250 mg of Kimia Linco 40®) with 20 g of powdered sugar and sprinkle onto brood frames.
Repeat once weekly for 3 consecutive weeks.
Note: Dosage and duration of treatment depend on disease severity and must be determined by a veterinarian.
Drug Interactions
Concurrent administration of lincomycin with macrolides such as tylosin and erythromycin may result in drug interactions.
Contraindications
Use of Kimia Linco 40® is contraindicated in breeder poultry, laying hens, and turkeys.
