Composition
Each gram of Kimia Prim 48 powder contains:

  • Sulfadiazine sodium: 400 mg

  • Trimethoprim: 80 mg

Indications
Kimia Prim 48 is indicated for the prevention, control, and treatment of many diseases caused by bacterial agents sensitive to sulfadiazine + trimethoprim, including:

  • Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD)

  • Colibacillosis

  • Infectious coryza

  • Pasteurellosis

  • Bacterial pneumonias

  • Salmonellosis (infectious diarrhea)

Dosage and Administration
Add 250 ml of Kimia Prim 48 to 1000 liters of drinking water for 3–5 days, depending on the age and body weight of the birds.

Note:
The duration and dosage may vary depending on the type and severity of the disease and should preferably be determined by a veterinarian.

Contraindications
Use of Kimia Prim 48 is contraindicated in laying poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption.

Drug Interactions
Concurrent use with polypeptide antibiotics, beta-lactams, and aminoglycosides should be avoided.

Withdrawal Period
Discontinue use 5 days before slaughter of poultry.

Precautions

  • After opening the bottle, the contents must be used within 60 days.

  • The prepared medicated solution should be used within 24 hours.
