Composition
Each gram of Kimiya Chlortetracycline 50 powder contains 500 mg chlortetracycline hydrochloride.

Indications
Kimiya Chlortetracycline 50 is mainly effective against aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., and Clostridium spp., and some Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, and Klebsiella.
It is also effective against Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, Spirochetes, and some protozoa.
It is used for the prevention, control, and treatment of diseases caused by these microorganisms, including:

  • Colibacillosis, CRD complex, and infectious synovitis

  • Infectious coryza, fowl cholera, and blue comb disease in turkeys

  • Gastrointestinal infections, microbial diarrhea, and pullorum disease (white diarrhea of chicks)

Dosage and Administration

  • 20–30 mg of pure chlortetracycline per kg of live body weight per day

Prevention:
200–400 g of Kimiya Chlortetracycline 50 per 1 ton of feed for 1–2 weeks

Treatment:
600–800 g of Kimiya Chlortetracycline 50 per 1 ton of feed for 1–2 weeks, depending on age and body weight

Note: Dosage and duration may vary according to the type and severity of the disease and should preferably be determined by a clinician.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to chlortetracycline and in animals with hepatic or renal insufficiency.

Drug Interactions
Concurrent administration with aminoglycosides, macrolides, beta-lactams, and divalent or trivalent cations (e.g., aluminum, calcium) may cause drug interactions.

Withdrawal Period

  • Poultry meat: discontinue use 3–5 days before slaughter

  • Laying hens: discontinue use 7 days after the last treatment
