Kimiaenro Sodium® is a broad-spectrum oral antibiotic containing enrofloxacin sodium, used for the treatment of bacterial infections in various animal species.

Indications

Effective in the treatment of infections caused by enrofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms, including:

  • Fowl cholera
  • Staphylococcal infections
  • Secondary infections following viral diseases

Dosage and Administration

Poultry and Turkeys:
10 mg of pure enrofloxacin per kg of live body weight per day, equivalent to 250–500 mL of solution in 500 liters of drinking water, for 3–5 days.

Calves, Sheep, and Goats:
10 mL per 75–150 kg of body weight, for 3–5 days.

Ornamental Birds:
10 mg of pure enrofloxacin per kg of body weight, equivalent to 1–2 mL of solution per liter of drinking water, for 5–10 days.

Pigeons:
5–20 mg of pure enrofloxacin per kg of body weight daily for 5 days, equivalent to 1–2 mL of solution per liter of drinking water.

Dogs and Cats:
5–20 mg per kg of body weight daily, depending on disease severity, for 3–5 days, equivalent to 0.5–2 mL of solution per 10 kg of body weight per day.

Rabbits:
5–10 mg of pure enrofloxacin per kg of body weight per day for 5 consecutive days, equivalent to 0.05–0.1 mL of solution per kg of body weight per day.

Reminder: Dosage and treatment duration may vary depending on disease severity and veterinary judgment.

Contraindications

  • Use of enrofloxacin is contraindicated in laying birds whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
  • Administration to replacement pullets within 14 days prior to the onset of laying is prohibited.
  • Contraindicated in pregnant or lactating livestock.
  • Contraindicated in young growing dogs and dogs with a history of epilepsy.

Withdrawal Period

  • Poultry: 9 days
  • Turkeys: 11 days

Drug Interactions

  • Concurrent administration of enrofloxacin with macrolides, tetracyclines, phenicols, and multivalent cations such as iron, copper, aluminum, magnesium, and calcium may cause interactions.
  • Concurrent use of quinolones with certain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is not recommended.
  • In hard water, serum concentrations of enrofloxacin may be reduced.

Warnings and Precautions

The prepared solution must be used within a maximum of 24 hours.
