Antibiotic<\/h2>\n

Composition<\/h2>\n

Each gram of Kimia Linco 40\u00ae<\/strong> contains 454 mg of lincomycin hydrochloride<\/strong>, equivalent to 400 mg of active lincomycin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Indications<\/h2>\n

Lincomycin 40%<\/strong> is used for the treatment of necrotic enteritis<\/strong> caused by Clostridium perfringens<\/strong>.
It is also used for the control of bacterial infections in honey bees<\/strong>, such as American foulbrood<\/strong> (Paenibacillus larvae<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Dosage and Administration<\/h2>\n

Poultry<\/h3>\n

For the treatment of necrotic enteritis:
75 g per 1,000 liters of drinking water<\/strong> (equivalent to 30 mg of lincomycin per liter of water<\/strong>) for up to 7 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Honey Bees<\/h3>\n

For each hive, mix 100 mg of lincomycin<\/strong> (equivalent to 250 mg of Kimia Linco 40\u00ae<\/strong>) with 20 g of powdered sugar<\/strong> and sprinkle onto brood frames.
Repeat once weekly for 3 consecutive weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Dosage and duration of treatment depend on disease severity and must be determined by a veterinarian.<\/p>\n

Drug Interactions<\/h2>\n

Concurrent administration of lincomycin with macrolides<\/strong> such as tylosin and erythromycin<\/strong> may result in drug interactions.<\/p>\n

Contraindications<\/h2>\n

Use of Kimia Linco 40\u00ae<\/strong> is contraindicated in breeder poultry, laying hens, and turkeys<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
