Composition
Each gram of Kimia Monensin 10® premix contains 100 mg of monensin sodium.
Indications
Used for the prevention and control of coccidiosis caused by various Eimeria species, including Eimeria acervulina, necatrix, mitis, tenella, maxima, and brunetti in broiler chickens and replacement pullets, and Eimeria gallopavonis, meleagrimitis, and adenoeides in fattening turkeys up to 16 weeks of age.
Dosage and Administration
Broiler Chickens and Replacement Pullets
1,000–1,200 g of Monensin 10% premix per ton of feed

Broilers: from day one of age until 3 days before slaughter

Replacement pullets: up to a maximum of 16 weeks of age
Fattening Turkeys
900–1,000 g of Monensin 10% premix per ton of feed, up to 16 weeks of age.
Contraindications

Not permitted for use in horses or other equids.

Do not mix with other coccidiostats.

Contraindicated in laying hens and laying turkeys.
Drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with tiamulin, erythromycin, chloramphenicol, and sulfonamides.
Withdrawal Period
Discontinue use 3 days prior to slaughter of poultry.
Precautions

After opening the package, use the contents within 60 days.

The prepared medicated feed should be used within a maximum of 24 hours.
